Held at Surfdale beach, this series is timed around the higher tides to make launching and retrieving easier. Entry is open to anyone with any centre-board yacht for a small entry fee. In past years we have seen Optimist, Starling, J14’s, Sunbursts with Sea Scouts also joining in

Steve Alloway Trophy - this is a full day and in light winds a challenge to complete in daylight at this time of year. Visiting club entries encouraged - sail to Waiheke on friday after work, ready for an early start.
The Annual islands own Round Waiheke Island Race - lots of trophy’s and bragging rights on offer.
Open entry to any member of an affiliated YNZ club.
The direction around the island is chosen on the day by the sailing committe who consider wind strength, tidal current and wind direction.
We ofetn have entries from visiting clubs including Classic yachts and a Waka Ama exhibition.
